[Impmon isn't happy as the video feed clicks on (shocking, truly); taking a bite out of a small bun like he's settling a personal grudge. He's somewhere at the water's edge and his Magikarp can be seen happily splashing in the shallows behind him. It's still somehow flat on it side, which seems frankly unhealthy, but Impmon has resigned himself to its apparent normality. A Dedenne and a Zigzagoon are seated next to him, digging into a pile of fruit and individually wrapped baked goods and snacks.]

So-

[He swallows a mouthful of bun before continuing.]

I'd been planning on going back to New Bark this weekend, t'see if I could find anything weird in that house we all woke up in, right? 'Cept it turns out that SOMEONE'S got sticky fingers and lifted a bunch a' crap from one of the stores in Cherrygrove an' royally pissed off the owner.

[He shoots a very obvious accusatory glare at his Dedenne, who looks up and takes a huge bite of apple. She's not sorry in the slightest.]

So, uh, goin' back through the city might be off the table for a little while.

[IT'S LIKE A ROLLER COASTER SIMULATOR. The dedenne are beside themselves with glee. They never get to do fun things like this when their trainer has the gear!! This was awesome! This was great!! This was the best day ever!!!

[And thankfully, the human voice on the other end is enough to give Giruko pause. There might be someone here to scratch his head, after all.]

[Impmon is breathing a bit hard as be catches up and tugs the gear out of Giruko's mouth. He's in pretty good shape, even as a human, but those stubby dino legs can move surprisingly fast.]

[He doesn't take kindly to insults, sir, especially if they seemed to be aimed at his little dedenne. The Static Gang cheers again, prompting Rin to come forward. His face can be seen above the sea of Dedenne paws, cheeks, and whiskers.]
